From the moment we first met Jamie and Marc it was like reconnecting with old friends.  We knew that their easy going and fun loving personalities were a great match for us.  We enjoyed every minute of working with them, from our first meeting over wine and beers, to our engagement session last fall, to finally seeing their vision come to life on their big day.  Congratulations Jame and Marc!!!  xoxo,  Alexandra and Michael.

Michael and I are so so so very much looking forward to shooting their wedding in October for many reasons.  But now even more than ever because now we know how hilarious Steve is. He used some interesting tactics to help loosen both himself and Marni up in front of the camera, that had us all cracking up.  A couple that can really make each other laugh and be totally candid with each other is a breeze to photograph.  So thanks for making our job a breeze you two!!

It was spectacular.  But even more importantly our couple, Tara & KC, had the love of the most incredible friends and family surrounding them all day long.  I will always remember this wedding not only for it’s beauty, but because I was 7.5 months pregnant when we shot it, and it was the last wedding we would shoot before our precious Noah came into the world.  And we could not have been more humbled by the kindness of every person we met that day.  I couldn’t count how many times I was asked if I needed water or something to eat or simply if I was doing ok.  So many perfect strangers so very genuinely wished Michael and me the best of luck.  The positivity in the air that day meant so much to us both.  And the saying “you are the company you keep” truly applied here.  Tara & KC are a pair of gems.  They get so much from those who love them, and they give just as much back.  It was such an honor to be part of this very special event.

We wanted to share these very personal pictures with  you all because, 1. we want you to know why we’ve been a little MIA that past few months, hehe, and 2. we feel like when we photograph your weddings we get to step inside of your worlds for a day on a very special and intimate level.  This is part of what we love so much about doing this kind of work.  So we wanted to let you all in to see the most incredible 2 months of our lives so far.

Noah was due March 3, 2013.  He decided to make his official appearance on February 21, 2013 at 7:58pm.  Michael’s birthday is Feb. 22.  How crazy is that?!?!?!  And thankfully on Feb. 20th Michael pushed me to let him take my picture with my big belly.  He’d been bugging me to do it for a while. He wanted to take some shots with the RolleiFlex his mom had recently sent him as an early birthday gift.  Anyways, the point is that these first two shots are from the day before Noah was born.  It’s like he knew dad had finally gotten the pictures he wanted, so he was free to come on out.

We absolutely love this venue and we can’t wait for the chance to shoot here again. Joanna and Sean could not have looked more amazing, or been more kind.  We are so beyond happy for them and for the two fabulous groups of friends and family that this union has brought together.  Joanna and Sean thank you so much for asking us to be part of your day, it was certainly our pleasure to meet you and to photograph you.
